  23. Yeah, what has changed is that Commodores are no longer used as the main 
  24. computer in grade schools or Universities and Commodore has gone 
  25. bankrupt.  MACS are in schools along with PCs and they and Apple are 
  26. still alive... hmmm... what doesn't seem right here?

  28. When I was in Grade 6 (and I am 23 now) our elementary school had a 
  29. VIC-20 for its main computer, when I was in High School they had 
  30. Commodore Pets, C64s and 128s as the main computers and the University 
  31. were using C64/128s for various programs in the University here.

  33. The University got some Amigas down the road but the grade schools never 
  34. and still don't.  Practically everything now is PCs with some MACS in the 
  35. University and grade schools with the C64 being pushed back to 
  36. kindergarten/elementary school level... at least they are still being used.

  43. Canadian Tire only carries stuff for Nintendo and Sega now but Kmart 
  44. carries Nintendo, Sega, Sony Playstation and PC CD-ROM and floppy 
  45. software, I didn't see any computers set up in there the last time I was 
  46. in but they still carry software.  Walmart carries Nintendo, Sega and 
  47. PC-CDROM and floppy software along with PC computers but don't carry the 
  48. Sony Playstation, the only place I have seen carrying them are Kmart and 
  49. the Sony Store along with a few other game rental/speciality places 
  50. around town that I do not frequent.

  52. Point being computers do not go to Kmart, Walmart etc. because they are 
  53. being dumped, they go there to get more exposure and those places can 
  54. offer the machines at a lower cost for the consumer but lack technical 
  55. support etc. that the dealers can provide.

  67. What do you mean the back side of the moon? It is like this everywhere, 
  68. something offered in a major department store will get more exposure then 
  69. something offered in a speciality store.. thus attracting new blood.

  82. The same what? Pro-Amiga posts? You do not call The Guild anymore thus 
  83. not knowing what it is like anymore and with your negative outlook such as 
  84. the above, its been no loss.  I'm surprized you still even "own" an Amiga 
  85. with all the posts you have been getting on with saying you can get a 
  86. Pentium with more power for the same amount of money. If you can, go buy it!

  88. If you are talking about the "Phea!" comment I mentioned above to the guy 
  89. claiming to be a part of Team Amiga and then craps over the Amiga 
  90. whenever he gets a chance to, then sure, I call a spade a spade when 
  91. needed and it is no worse then the guys on .advocacy argueing and flaming 
  92. a lot worse over OPing on IRC.
